Registration

Registration for the 2024 Canadian Stroke Congress includes:

  • Access to all meeting sessions over two days of robust, peer reviewed scientific content including plenary speakers, award lectures, oral presentations, dedicated poster sessions, and more
  • Daily lunches and coffee breaks
  • An Opening reception with light food and drinks available
  • Complimentary WIFI in the congress space
  • Digital conference program 
  • Complimentary access to pre-congress workshops on November 27
  • The opportunity to network with colleagues, collaborators and others in the stroke community
  • Congress attendance certificate, upon request

Registration rates:

Early Bird (Ends October 21)

  • Researcher/Physician – $350
  • Early Career Researcher (first academic position within 5 years) – $200
  • Health Professionals (e.g. allied health, research coordinators, etc.) – $200
  • Trainees – $99
  • People with Lived Experience – $20

Final/On site 

    • Researcher/Physician – $450
    • Early Career Researcher (first academic position within 5 years) – $250
    • Health Professionals (e.g. allied health, research coordinators, etc.) – $250
    • Trainees – $120
    • People with Lived Experience – $20

Registration Procedure

Step 1: Register for the Conference

Please note, all conference registrations are subject to 5% GST as per the government of Canada and are listed in Canadian dollars.

Cancellation Policy:

All cancellations must be received in writing.  The amount paid less a $25 + GST processing fee will be refunded for cancellations post-marked, faxed or emailed prior to November 1, 2024.  Following this date, no refunds will be issued.  

Transfer Policy:

There will be a charge of $25 + GST to transfer a registration to another person.  Transfer requests must be made by November 1, 2024.  Following this date, no transfer will be issued.

Photography Policy:

By your presence at the Canadian Stroke Congress and/or pre-Congress workshops November 25-29, 2024 you consent to be photographed and/or filmed. The Canadian Stroke Congress reserves the right to use photographs and videos taken during the event for promotional and educational purposes, including publications, website content, and social media. However, the Canadian Stroke Congress will make reasonable efforts to provide credit to the individuals being photographed wherever possible. By participating in the congress, attendees grant the Canadian Stroke Congress the right to capture their likeness in photographs and videos for the aforementioned purposes, without any compensation. If you do not want your picture taken while you are presenting your poster or platform, it is your responsibility to inform the photographer.

Step 2: Book your Accommodation

Book your accommodation in Calgary as soon as possible. There are a limited number of rooms at the discounted conference rate!  Conference organizers would like to thank you for booking at the Calgary Marriott Downtown Hotel. The Canadian Stroke Congress has financial commitments with the hotel to help offset registration rates.  Please visit the accommodation page for details.
