Dr. Joran Lee

University of Calgary

Dr. Jordan Lee is a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Calgary, supervised by Dr. Aaron Phillips. Dr. Lee’s expertise is in sympathetic control of cardiovascular function. He is currently studying the long-term effects of epidural stimulation to manage autonomic dysfunction and improve cardiovascular health after spinal cord injury. To accomplish this work, he uses clinical human research methods such as beat-to-beat hemodynamics combined with direct recordings of sympathetic and vagus nerve activity, complemented by preclinical methods such as tissue clearing for comprehensive neuroanatomical studies.
