Dr. Karine Marcotte

Karine Marcotte holds a master’s degree in speech language pathology and audiology from the University of Montreal and has been a member of the Order of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists of Quebec since 2002. She worked for nearly five years as a speech language pathologist at the Hôpital du Sacré-Coeur in Montreal before undertaking doctoral studies at the University of Montreal. She then completed postdoctoral studies in neuroimaging at the Toronto Rehabilitation Institute. She joined the School of Speech Therapy and Audiology at the University of Montreal as a professor in September 2012 and joined the research center of the Hôpital du Sacré-Cœur de Montréal in 2013. Since then, her research projects are funded by the Fonds pour la recherche du Québec – Santé (FRQ-S), by the Provincial Research Network in Adaptation-Rehabilitation (REPAR), the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada, Canadian Institutes of Health Research as well as the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada
