Patrice Lindsay is currently the Lead for PWLE Engagement and Stroke Strategy at the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada. Dr. Lindsay leads strategic directions for health systems design and change and develops innovative knowledge translation and implementation initiatives that bridge, integrate, and support the needs and interests of people living with stroke and their families. She is the senior editor for the Canadian Stroke Best Practice Guidelines and performance measurement standards and has led stroke systems change in Canada for over 20 years. She is involved in several research initiatives in stroke, heart and vascular cognitive impairment, and has authored many peer-reviewed publications. Dr. Lindsay is a recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee medal for her efforts to improve stroke care and outcomes in Canada and internationally. Dr. Lindsay has a bachelor’s degree in nursing, a Master’s degree in program evaluation and research methods, and a PhD from the University of Toronto focused on health services research and health systems performance. She is a Fellow of the World Stroke Organization.
